Man walks on carpet to save life of man from roof
MANCHESTER, N.H. — A man walked onto a roof in a New Hampshire home with a coat and a dog to save the life of a man who was trapped under the debris of a collapsed building.
The man, whose name was not released, called 911 from the roof of the home in Manchester, N,N.H., about 2:30 a.m.
The 911 call indicates he was trying to rescue a man from underneath a collapsed roof.
The victim, a 70-year-old man from the Bronx, died at a hospital.
A firefighter arrived on the scene and helped rescue the man.
No one else was hurt.
The cause of the collapse is under investigation, and the New Hampshire State Fire Marshal’s Office said it was not immediately clear whether the cause was electrical, structural or fire.
