How to remove carpet cleaner residue from a carpet
In the wake of a recent study that found carpet cleaners could have adverse health effects, a new generation of carpet cleaning products is being developed that removes carpet cleaner residues from surfaces, according to a report by the American Conservative.
“This product is being engineered to work like an antiseptic, cleaning up all the carpet residue before it causes an outbreak,” said the report.
The products have the potential to become one of the most widely used and cost-effective cleaning agents in the world.
The report cites research from a Dutch lab that found the cleaners removed up to 90 percent of carpet residue from surfaces that were washed and dried by the household.
“It’s a significant advancement in cleaning, which means we’re going to be able to do this in less than a decade,” said one of those researchers, Robert G. Gille, who directs the laboratory that developed the product.
In addition to the products that are being developed for homeowners, Gille is also developing an anti-bacterial carpet cleaner that can be used to clean carpets that are not being washed regularly.
The new carpet cleaner is available at Home Depot, Lowe’s, Wal-Mart and many other retailers.
The consumer product is already being tested and approved by the Food and Drug Administration.
“The goal is to have this in the marketplace by the end of next year,” Gille said.
In the study, the Dutch team looked at how the carpet cleaner removed carpet residue when used on carpets with high levels of carpet bacteria.
The researchers tested the product against a product called a carpet cleaning soap, which has a pH level of 6.5 to 7.0.
That makes it suitable for use on carpet surfaces.
The soap removes most carpet residue, according the researchers, but only as much as one-third of the carpet surface area can be scrubbed.
“In other words, when you use this product on a carpet, it will get the most amount of carpet and dirt off of the surface,” Gilles said.
“So we think the product is actually very effective against carpet and not only will you clean it, but you’ll also get the best possible cleaning.”
The researchers also tested the carpet cleaning product against an anti–bacterial product called carpet soap.
The scientists found that the anti–carpet soap, when used against carpet, reduced the number of carpet stains in carpet by nearly 90 percent. The anti–brush cleaner product also removed carpet dirt, but with less than 90 percent success rate.
The study is published in the Journal of Cleaner Production.
“If we want to reduce carpet contamination in a house, it’s really important that we get rid of all the dirt,” Gilling said.
The next step is to determine how the anti-carpets will be used and how much carpet cleaning will be required to clean up carpet residue.
The goal is for the anti‐carpent soap to be used as a “natural” cleaning product.
This means it won’t be toxic or even harmful.
But Gille and his colleagues are working to improve the carpet cleaners to make them less toxic.
“We’re going for natural cleaners, and then after that we’ll be able use the products as they’re used now,” Gilly said.
One of the key goals is to get the anti brush cleaner product to work in the home of anyone with a family.
The company hopes that it will help eliminate carpets from homes, as well as carpet from other parts of the home, without causing the health problems that are seen in other carpet cleaning solutions.
“To do that, we need to be making the product that’s safe,” Gill said.
